  • Music is the best freaking thing ever. I've been playing guitar for as long as I can remember, and I do a little bass/ singing/keyboard/drums too. I'm huge into any genre that has 'Math' in its name, Metal, Fusion, Drone, Progressive, Jazz, Electronic, Breakcore, Hardcore Punk, Trip-hop, Industrial, Noise, Ska, Avante Garde, and anything that's new experimental and different. I'm always up for swapping music.

I was in a metalcore band called The Dearborn Project for a few years, but after 40-50 shows and a CD we've since disbanded. I've played in other groups too, including Axeidentally McGuilicutty (irish punk/folk) and The Sahara Desert Treehuggers Convention (mondo cover band). At my high school's talent show I played Imogen's Puzzle by Psyopus live while Isaac stood in a banana suit expressionless. It was hilarious.

It all started with Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix. They inspired me to pick up the axe. I used to play at open mic nights in bars with my dad, and we'd play tons of covers: from the entire 30 minute version of Zeppelin's Dazed and Confused from Song Remains the Same, violin bow and all, to Jimi's rendition of The Star Spangled Banner. I won a Hendrix sound-alike contest at Mars Music store when I was 11. I took lessons for a few years, but I'm mostly self-taught.

Currently I'm working on a math/metal/prog/fusion/experimental project called September 11th and the Terrorists. It's tower-smashing awesomeness. I've written and recorded a handful of songs (which you should go listen to right now), and right now it's just me, but I've been looking for musicians to play with. Email if interested.

I have an electronic project too -- Om Nom

I write and record a ton of music in my back room, with the aid of pirated free software. Usually I do everything myself, but sometimes I collaborate with others, for serious music, school projects, covers, birthday presents, random joke stuff, or whatever.
