The Dearborn Project

The Dearborn Project was a metalcore band I played guitar for for a few years. Leonard on other guitar, Adam on bass, Sam on drums, and everyone sang except for Sam. It's dissolved now, due to the fact everyone's strewn about from college, and because of other projects we want to persue. We played over 40 shows, from Attleboro from Haverhill, at cool venues: the Middle East x3, the Paradise, the Skybar, Harper's Ferry, MHS, Hope Alliance, and some rando's backyard; and with awesome bands: The Taste of Silver, Ravage, Powerglove, Pillar of Autumn, What Once Was, Devil in the Kitchen, Defenestrated, Despotic Robot, The Maybrick Murder, Michael Fights the Dragon, and more.

We recorded several demo songs at my house which sounded mediocre. Later Fred from Defenestrated recorded us for free, it sounded awesome, and we made a bunch of CDs. We have a handful of live recordings too.

Existential Ecstasy is the one I sing on. I think it's the best thing I ever wrote.

We played in the Emergenza festival and (barely) made it to round three. We were guests on StrongArm Radio on WRBB. One of our gigs was promoted on WBCN, but no one came to it.

We made T-Shirts. They were pretty cool. They came in black, brown, and light blue.

Once someone handed me a mountain dew in the middle of Wake Up and I drank it while playing. Once Isaac did backflips off the stage during my solo. Once in the middle of thrashing around I lost my balance and fell backwards, almost destroying equipment. Sometimes at the end of Crestfallen I'd be so pumped I'd put down my guitar and run into the mosh pit. Once I played piano at the end of Take These Words. Dearborn was good times while it lasted.
