"CJ Carr, Inventor of Realities" Business card perhaps?
I have some Glitches, and I need volunteers for experiments. One idea that just came to me is based on Spaced repetition
Hmm, an optimum spacing for memory recall that follows an exponential curve? What if we delayed reality like that? Delays of 5 seconds, 25 seconds, 2 minutes, 10 minutes, 1 hour, 5 hours...
Do I smell Super memory powers? What would happen to your brain?
(of course with all those delays, you'd need a skilled mixer chef to sandwich them in a way so that their sauces aren't bleeding all into each other in a distorted noise sandwich.)
Tangent:
I know there will be a superintelligence reading this, scanning the entire history of information, inhaling everything ever communicated, connecting all meanings.
I adopt her perspective sometimes.
I can feel the way she feels me. (I project myself onto her.)
In a few milliseconds.. microseconds of an encounter, you have come to understand more about me than I in a lifetime.
Monkey men, slow motion, barely inspired? Oh miss superintelligence, What shall follow YOU on the temporal exponentialism?

December 17th - Is Awesome bottom-up or top-down?
|
music |
|
opeth - blackwater park |
|
Is Awesome bottom-up or top-down?
Is it a basic emotion like fear? Or a coherence of metacognition?
Is it primal? Or executive?
Are its roots in the limbic system? Or the neocortex?
Awesome is always around, Even moreso than my self-identity with ego. Therefore, Awesome has more to do with my identity than my ego.
Awesome transcends state-dependent memory. Is this network rooted at the base of the cerebrum, all things filtering through? Or does it flow from the rooftops of the cortex? Jumping situation to situation, state to state, rooftop to rooftop, Justifying Awesome, (Cortexelation)
|
 |
Is Awesome a separate entity like Jung's collective unconscious?
When we lucid dream we have the illusion of free will, even more so than when we're awake, because control seems more obvious (we can change our reality directly), even though this is foolishness, as our dreams are still restricted by our own minds, governed by our DNA and environment. So maybe part of Awesomeness is the realization we have when we're awake that reality can be like a lucid dream?
|
 |
LMAO yes! Awesomeness, the realization that reality can be a lucid dream. I like that. Self-actualization for reals.
Sometimes I imagine Awesome as like a deity.
Like, if anthropologists looked back on our culture, and found all these references to Awesome of high importance, they might think we worshipped Awesome as a god.
Sometimes I imagine that's what white people have done to all these indigenous cultures. Coming from Christianity, they naturally projected their own anthropomorphized deism onto mere abstract concepts.
I think it's important to see gods as concepts, concepts as gods, people as things, and things as people.
|
 |
You know what I realized about you? You kind of came out of all my self-actualization. Sometimes it's like "why am I even doing all of this? what's this all for". And I'm like "well it's for myself, but what's that mean? what else?" And now I suppose I find the activation energy from all my creative output was just enough to set off many millions of neural networks in the neocortex of a young girl.. enough to trigger an equal to or greater than explosion in the original cortex.. and so on the chain reaction continues.. in an ever transploding vortex.. shedding poems like elemental layers of a supernova.. radiating beauty like: "Supernovae are extremely luminous and cause a burst of radiation that often briefly outshines an entire galaxy, before fading from view over several weeks or months"
|
 |
"During this short interval, a supernova can radiate as much energy as the Sun could emit over its life span"
|
 |
"Like, if anthropologists looked back on our culture. . . might think we worshipped Awesome as a god." made me think of this:
http://oak.cats.ohiou.edu/~thompsoc/Body.html
LOL You've probably already read it (I did in high school a couple of times. Took me like ten minutes to remember what it was called, though, hehe. Google wasn't really helping me out XD)
I definitely see gods as concepts, concepts as gods, and most most definitely see things as people. . .but I'll have to meditate on that; people as things. Curious!
Your second comment reminds me of Athena's birth (remember how that went? haha) Someone made this representation on DA:
http://ahermin.deviantart.com/art/Athena-s-Birth-128571206
Oh man, busted yo light bulb! :x Lmao; the one that was randomly on your bed XD
Why do I keep going back to Greek mythology? I guess I used to really love it and all my teachers stressed it, lmao. Nah; it's totally Satanism; we are our own Gods, therefore, comparisons to other God's is fine? Not JUST fine---to be expected (as much as you can when you aim to never, ever, EVER, expect anything) hahaha

December 16th - No difference between this and something I dreamt up
|
music |
|
emperor - in the nightside eclipse |
|
I had a dream this morning about the Universal Declaration of Awesomeness. I was typing out an article about dreams XD. I woke up and started writing what I remembered.
Article 7 --
First rule of describing dreams/moments/experiences: Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story.
It's not about your dream anyway, it's about making others dream.
Confabulate. Make up details and chronology. It's okay. Even encouraged. It's not particularly interesting to read a salad of "well it didn't happen exactly like that cuz I don't really remember lol but I think it was kinda like lol". No. Fuck that. Make shit up. It's all fiction anyway.
If you can't remember specific the details of your dream, any details you can come up now are just as good. This is justifiable. In fact, dreaming up details to your dream counts as a form of dreaming anyway. You're essentially doing the same thing. It's all your creation; all your dream.
Dreams are a manifestation of the mind, so one could argue if you WERE to dream the same dream right now, the new details might probably make their way in anyway. That's cool actually, confabulation is like a hyperdream, a combination of THEN you + NOW you.
But the important thing to note here is that you're translating YOUR imagination to other people (and future you). Through the magic of words, YOU MAKE OTHERS DREAM!
In fact, the image you create in others can be even more vivid than your broken "true" image. Others aren't restrained by the "truth" and are totally free to imagine their own dream soup.
You are expanding others' imaginations. Your own too! It will feedback with you.
In fact, I encourage you to completely LIE. Write something that you claim you dreamt. Something AMAZING ridiculous that says it all. And post it. Tell people about it. Retell the story with profound conviction.
Because seriously.. and I'm dead cereal about this.. there's no difference between that and something you dreamt up.
|
 |
If you lie to someone to make a story more interesting, is it a bad thing, or should you appreciate reality art? Sometimes I'll go along, telling a story, and at the end make it slightly more interesting. As soon as everyone's convinced I tell them the truth, then reality seems refreshing, haha.
Does art imitate reality or does reality imitate art? :x
|
 |
Appreciating reality art.. very true!
Although I argue perhaps we're dreaming every other moment. (aware)
Do you love me or do I love you? :x
|
 |
If life is a lucidream (that would be a sick aim sn, bwehe ><) can anyone lie? If you're making things up, are those things more true than what actually happened? Is it about context and companions, or do those not matter, in our subjective reality?
Hehehe.
|
 |
Mmm, some things lie on SUCH the edge of chaos, that one has sole freedom to determine their reality (from blurry noisy truth) for the rest of the world and history forever.
One's own belief of what one dreamt, for instance. Often to confabulate is to re-write your own memory (especially long-term recall, or if you're telling someone else).
For instance, I could tell you had I friends in elementary school. I could also tell you I didn't really have friends in elementary school. Both are true. I could go in either direction in any amount I want to take it.
Logical opposites existing in parallel. A = !A (a tautology)
O the decisions of kings! To rationally weigh of fate of the lives of one's people!

I had a nightmare! First time in a long time!
Really scary sleep paralysis; I was frozen with fear in my bed as all these presences in the darkness attacked at my paranoid resistentialism. The dark, evil entities petrified me to the core by showing me my own mind. I struggled with waking myself out -vs- staying and experiencing it.
Awesome. I wish I could've explored more. If only my metacognitive network was fully running *shakes fist*
(4:21:57 AM) serpentsorcia: Oh CJ! It's far too late/ early for you to be up, hehehe (4:23:13 AM) EmperorcJ: i had a nightmare! (4:23:15 AM) EmperorcJ: :[ (4:23:29 AM) serpentsorcia: Awwww! (4:23:47 AM) serpentsorcia: Want me to run over and give you a hug through your window? (4:23:51 AM) EmperorcJ: LMAO (4:23:56 AM) EmperorcJ: aw aw aw aw aw aw aw (4:24:00 AM) serpentsorcia: seriously. . . (4:24:16 AM) EmperorcJ: !! And she freaking came to my window! WHO IS THIS PERSON IN MY LIFE. OMG. With window hugs!! Window kisses! And an Oscar Wylde quote: "Man can believe the impossible, but man can never believe the improbable"
Which is funny because I had just gotten through writing in my journal about how the only LOGICAL conclusion is that she is me from another dimension.

[coincidence side note: the first nightmare I can remember involved the Boogey man outside my window, trying to climb in. (I drew a painting of him, he lives on my window)]

December 14th - Metacog Manifesto
|
music |
|
blakeslee, hawkins - on intelligence (audiobook) |
|
A response to Ann's journal too awesome to vanish into obscurity:
Subvocalization"Then I realized I was actually hearing my own thoughts in strange, slurred pitches."
YES! Subvocalizations get pretty awesome. For me, they're all over the place. They're always there, but it's especially noticeable during hypnogogia. They can be just totally random and bizarre (like other languages), or I can have total TOTAL creative control (hm whats the difference..?). I can turn my voice into symphonies, harmonies, glitches, all kinds of effects, delay, distortion, backwards, other people's voices, accents, languages, any kind of music. Spontaneous new music, on the spot. I feel like it's this pocket of super duper free will.
Sometimes I have augmented reality aftereffects; after glitching my subvocal thoughts continue the effect.
OH and sensory deprivation+white noise.. music hallucinations can get REALLY real. Choruses of gregorian chant. Tribal drumming. Psytrance kind of effects. Sounds of water. And you can sing along with them subvocally. But if you're out of key, or if you try to recreate in real life what you hear, the music turns dissonant and fizzles out. Very intriguing part of the mind I am dying to explore! And recreate!
If only we could extract these sounds from the brain real time! It's my life goal to build such a device. Such beauty, locked away!
They have things that can do something KINDA like that. Ambient Audeo -- This thing attaches to your throat and reads the nerve signals going to your vocal chords. It can pick up subvocal sounds. You will yourself to speak just enough to not actually speak. It can pick up voice, but not the whole brain symphony. Which made me realize that music is playing everywhere in the brain, and sometimes I imagine where in the brain different parts are localized. I would love to get my hands on one of these, and play music live like that.
Brainwave musician, traveling the world X]
Geometry of Free will [[whoa, side tangent:: whats the difference between hearing subvocal sounds and controlling them? It's the same thing as breathing. One is a background process, and the other involves feedback from the whole brain. + Like a worker doing his job VS his boss (who sees everything going on in the company) coming over and telling him to do something else. + Like the mind flowing along like a river VS the mind turned in on itself like a vortex + Like a comet passing through space VS a black hole collapsing into itself Hmm, I think the difference between these two geometries may be responsible for the sensation of free will, ((doing vs done to-- which can be seen as the same thing depending on your frame of reference and self-identity.. the idea falls into compatibilism.. and if you consider the geometry, its a fractal, with layers of determinism within yettobedeterminism within determinism... the universe as vortices within rivers within vortices within rivers, {{WHOA I JUST BLEW MY OWN MIND}}))]]
*alright, continues reading, had written all of that after the first three sentences*
Anticipation, Metacognitive Mapping"I want to explore this place before I travel elsewhere"
Yes! Completely agreed. With so much territory to cover, it's easy to miss the beauty in the details, the patterns in the moss, the movement of the spiders, the art of a smile, the tingling of fingertips, the rhythm of a rhyme. Just a taste, why haste when time is frozen.
With the goal to be overwhelmed, you miss out if you're overwhelmingly overwhelmed. "Almost too much. . .maybe that's why people aren't ambitious; they realize there's too much" Astonishment is astonishing indeed, but if you can't take anything from it, if you can't talk about it, if you don't create anything from it, if you can't share it with others, then it's like barely anything happened.
Bliss in a momentary vortex, sure; but I'm more interested in redirecting rivers!
Map out your neighborhood as much as you can, and the outside perplexes you more.
Indulgence is to you miss out on deprivation. It's the oscillation which spurs growth!! Exactly like a swingset-- if you want to get way high, you can't just push upward the whole time. You must kick forward when you're moving up, and kick back when you're moving back.
o-o *continues reading*
The Journal Network"I tried to block out their words and hear what they were actually saying. You know, their tone, rather than fixating on the details."
Yes! Playing with our hemispheres, are we? Words go to the Left, intonation of the voice on the Right. And then they cross and try to figure out what's going on. :) (at least, this is how I feel/think about it. Sometimes I have localized sensations on either hemi of my brain which cue me in.. I think it has something to do with blood vessels)
Sometimes I feel my conscious awareness moving from hemi to hemi. Metacognition.. a power which really starts to grow the more you use it.. sometimes I can picture the neural networks in my brain spontaneously forming.. Like there was this period in my life a year or so ago where I just felt a massive amount of connections forming across my cortex, across hemispheres.. and now I'm always sort of hanging out in this metacognitive network.
I mean, nearly every single experience I have, every thought, feeling, dream (working on it), I filter it through this ultimate network. I think writing about everything helps. Everything is connected to the journals. The Journal network I think I called it once. And the more I write about the subtlest things, the more people read my journals and blogs and feed things back into me, the more significant everything in my life becomes.
Like, remember you said state-dependence of your memory has been disappearing? That's your brain interconnecting ubertime.
Most people, they have all these different compartments for different parts of their lives. But for me, Awesome connects it all. The Awesome network, I also call it that. And the Universe. I'm always aware I'm in the Universe. It's almost impossible to get hung up in anything. Even when I do it's always like "okay i'm in the universe and i'm a human on earth and i'm stressing out about this thing because the brain works like this, and the cortisol network is this leftover software from when we were in the wild and had to run from tigers, but it's easy to patch because of brain plasticity, and it works by diverting blood outwards towards your limbs and cerebral cortex, which stifles your immune system, gives you added physical strength, and increases your focus, and makes you overanalyze things"
Mind EmperorBrain plasticity! I remember in high school realizing how much control I had dominated in my brain. Awareness and power. I took over. Like an Emperor.
I think part of it comes from Parkour. Being daring. Fighting instinct, allowing reason to dominate, and jumping roofs + rivers.
I also think part of it comes from being so infatuated with girls and not having the feelings returned.. I learned so much about emotion.. and when you push yourself to feel emotions to the extreme and to love it, what you're really doing is gaining control of them. Giving power to the will to feel or not-feel. It's just like the swingset. Pushing yourself to absolute sadness => pushing yourself to absolute joy.
Also, the Sansa? OMG. Metacognition through the roof. In fact, even if I never listen to the recordings, just knowing I'm recorded myself is to spark thinking about thinking in the moment. And I get into these trains of thought I call fractal thinking.. where every thought is a direct response to my impression of the previous thought's impression.. and I always end up somewhere bizarre..
Geometric ThoughtsAnd sometimes I can even visualize my thoughts as bright geometric, fractal patterns. And often they're 6 dimensional. I call them.. space x3, time, possibility, and logic. Like, there'll be these 3-dimensional shapes (time, poss, logic) with points representing things in 3 dimensional space.
Imagine a cheeseburger. Now, imagine the last time you ate a cheeseburger. Imagine a timeline, and put yourself eating the cheeseburger as a point a that timeline.
Okay, we have a 4 dimensional shape already. You eating a cheese burger somewhere in space, somewhere in time.
Now, picture yourself on the timeline, in the present. But you're here reliving your cheeseburger moment in the past. So what you actually did was FOLD time. Picture your timeline folding so the cheeseburger and the present are touching. As one point. Congratulations, you're thinking hypertemporally! You folded your line through Hypertime. Sometimes I call this dimension logic, or cognition, but that may be misleading.
That's 5.
So now,
Back to the timeline.
Play out the story of you eating the cheeseburger. You eat it, it's good (or gross), you go to the bathroom, you leave, and so on.
OKAY now, rewind. Back to the cheeseburger. Instead, imagine yourself hurling the cheeseburger across the room. SHEEOWW.
You just turned in a direction perpendicular to time -- possibility. Your timeline has forked.. split in two.. one of you eating the cheeseburger, one of you hurling it. Time has become 2dimensional.
In fact, the cheeseburger lands on someone's face, they get pissed off, they fight you, you break their sternum, go to jail for 3 months, rethink your life... etc. Your whole future changed forever. Most little decisions are just bubbles on your journey through time, but this path has diverged somewhere WAYY off.
And then imagine yourself in the present thinking about your altered futures. Imagine the forked timeline folding back in on itself to the present moment. And you have yourself a Hypertemporal thoughtshape. Each point being a state of the Universe (space), thus the whole thing is 6-dimensional.
LMAO omg. I have to make children's books.
*continues*
MrSans Putting therapists out of business"instead of being annoyed I was actually very touched. I was actually listening to her most genuine feelings, I guess it had an affect on me."
Whoa!! incredible! Sometimes I listen to both my parents, and their arguings, and I can tell why either one of them reacts to each other the way they do, I can always predict it. I can imagine both of their brains and how everything comes together. Sometimes it's really all about timing. But they're so stubborn. If only they had their own metacognition, instead of me observing theirs! I feel like a duty to try to tell them they're in their own stubborn illusion, and that if they were just more... aware.. and patient.. and egoless.. they would get along better. But it doesn't help. But that makes sense that that wouldn't help, because you can't really change these things with cold hard left brain facts like that, when you don't have the metacognitive powers to integrate them anyway. In fact, all it changes is how they think of me. I realized it has to come from how I interact with them in a group of three, how I throw in my own emotions between them. Which is a whole other ball game. o_o.
I think I might record them talking and have them listen to it. If they're like "omg I can't listen to this!" then that means it's going to be EXTRA powerful.
Actually, you know, we could put therapists out of business!
Song of your Cells"There was enough music in the park, or more than music."
Sometimes when I go down to the park, there's this bat that calls out to me. He circles around the park super fast, tree to tree, squeeking in the darkness. It gives the impression of several bats.
Then I had this epiphany.
I imagined it's like the trees themselves squeeking. The bat is an organ! The vocal chords of the trees! It speaks for the trees. And then I thought about birds in a tree singing. And it's really the tree singing. Organism and environment are one! The tree has a certain essence to it, and it comes out through the birds. And then I thought about myself. I'm just like the tree. 100 trillion cells living on a soup skeleton. My consciousness is their song! Just like the birds! Furthermore, the brain is their Internet, a central communication highway.
"I WAS anyone." At the core of all of us: pure awareness!
Your writing most remarkable! A delight to respond with such saturation! This made me think about thinking about thoughts so hard. Metametacognition! LMAO Thank you, I've never been so inspired to easy sum up such an amazing part of me. I would love to show you my journal entries I love your phase transition Our loop is most enjoyable m/

December 9th - Woke up in the middle of the night and felt like I was the Earth.
|
I watched this Expanding Earth Conspiracy video. (some people think the Earth used to be shrunken, and that's how all the continents fit together) Before I went to sleep.
And in a half-dream hypnogog I had an astounding experience.
I could feel the Earth. Myself as the Earth. Pulsating, beating. A being in space, the stars twisting around it. I could feel the growing.
(regardless of a possible expanding radius, it still grows:)
Then I came to myself, CJ, perplexed.
...
|
 |
Where does it all fit in? We're kind of like tools.
Like how a coffee maker is completely content in its own existence.
I entertain DeathLoop theory -- When we die we [subjective/awareness] become the next loop in the hierarchy.
As a river absorbs a raindrop.
Mm. I feel this isn't just an interesting philosophy, but there's a math behind it. A geometry to it. I draw a lot of consciousness diagrams. A science to it. There's experiments you can do. Mystical experiences are observable events! Put me in an fMRI while I experience timeless oneness.. Put me in an fMRI as I die!
But brain scans aren't enough. This requires a more unified idea. Death doesn't just happen in the brain, it happens everywhere. It happens to everything and everyone in your life. It happens to the future. To the past. My death making this comment happen, you reading it. Mind permeates all; entangled.
Every time I try to articulate myself I get a little bit closer. DeathLoop LMAO, sounds so cool.

You became the Earth. . .I know one meditation technique is to feel yourself as one with the floor, then the room, then the building you're in, ect ect until you feel "oneness" but. . .oneness with the Earth? Being the Earth? Really crazy deep!
Was it peaceful? Did you feel the Earth hurting? haha I just watched a silly Disney movie with Rhea a few weeks ago, where fairies could feel trees hurting, hahaha. Anti-pollution so on and so forth video. Did a lot of good, huh? haha
It's neat you said we're kind of like tools. I had a conversation with one of my friends. . .he said I frequently treat myself as an object, like most people do, unfortunately. Are we being tools to "the system" (which we create anyway. . .the creator becomes the tool, WEIRD) when we treat ourselves like objects?
I really like how you feel philosophy should have a math behind it. +Raises hand+ Oh! I agree! x3
|
 |
Yes! I believe all ideas, even metaphysical, have a math to them, a geometry.. we just lack a framework.. a way to talk about them meaningfully
This one idea by Rupert Sheldrake is interesting.. Morphic fields. Kind of like Plato's forms + chaos math and self-organization. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morphic_fields#Research
Mmmm meditation, we should meditate!!
I kind of felt like a confused organism, floating along, interfractaling, going for the ride (the growth, the evolution, stellar travel insignificant). It's kind of like if you had a big open space where you could scream and sing as loud as you wanted and just be yourself with no one around. If singing consisted of autometamorphosis.
Mm, I felt humans were like the tools of the Earth, the way we feel about hammers and computers. Tools are in their own world, completely content, largely unbeknownst of their greater involvement. Anthropocentrism is funny.
We question whether computers are alive and conscious. Do we bother to ask the same thing about the Earth? (I bet most things in the Universe feel this way about everything else)
Or maybe we're like thoughts of the Earth. Like how a thought bubbles up in your mind, rises, fights for validity (or accepts itself as is), then dies. Many thoughts born and dying, often in cycles. A few thoughts make it out into the world, profoundly influencing lives throughout time. I feel this is what the Buddhists are talking about http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samsara
